For which subjects do you offer tutoring?

I offer tutoring services in reading, English, science, history, and more. I have 32 years experience teaching in elementary through high school, from regular education to learning support to advanced English. You can be assured that I will do everything possible to help you or your child get top-notch assistance.

What is your cancellation policy?

My cancellation policy allows for rescheduling tutoring sessions up to 8 hours in advance. Cancellations made less than 8 hours before the scheduled session will incur a cancellation fee. No-shows will be charged half-price for the session.

Where do you tutor?

I tutor in public places, preferably a library, or if possible, the school you or your child attends. I prefer not to meet in your home, due to distractions which sometimes cannot be avoided.

I also prefer to meet in person, so that I can see the student's face as learning takes place. On the computer, I don't always know if I am getting through. I will meet virtually in extreme emergencies.

About me

As a retired teacher, I know that I am not "finished" or ready to put the slippers on and lounge around my home. The best part of teaching is seeing the understanding pass across a student's face. I decided that I want to see that on a regular basis, and I want to have more control over with whom, and when I see it.
